Epic Fitout Ideas for Your Medical Clinic

Epic Fitout Ideas for Your Medical Clinic

When most people think of a medical clinic, they often picture a place that’s sterile, bare and free from any personality. If your clinic is like this, how do you expect patients to feel welcomed and comfortable when entering your doors?

At Future Fitouts, we’ve completed quite a few medical clinic fitouts in our time, and we have a few tricks up our sleeves to make sure your clinic functions well and looks great!

Need some help to achieve that wow factor for your medical clinic? Take a look at some recent fitouts we’ve completed for inspiration!

Blue Cross Family Doctors

This family-run private billing practice caters to families and children – providing a wide range of medical services to the community. During this fitout, two tenancies were combined to create one Medical Centre which included both consulting and procedure rooms. Because of their family-friendly focus, Blue Cross wanted the first impression to be as open and welcoming as possible for new and existing patients.

In the reception area, Blue Cross perfectly contrasts the crisp white colour associated with medical clinics by painting a bright green feature wall behind the reception desk. This pop of colour adds much-needed life and vibrancy to the room. When paired with the wood look reception desk and indoor plants, the space becomes more organic by reflecting the natural environment. This in turn help to make the room more welcoming and inviting.

A unique and modern light feature was also included as part of the decor, transforming a boring and empty corner of the clinic into an eye-catching and illuminated area that draws the eye.

Priority Health

Priority Health Medical Centre in Springfield Central stands by their motto ‘Your Health is Our Priority’, and when they approached us to complete their fitout, we were more than happy to create something both patients and doctors would feel comfortable in.

A great takeaway you can gain from this clinic is how they chose to style and organise their consulting rooms. Consider allowing the resident doctor who uses the room to personalise the space with pictures, mementoes and knick-knacks. By simply including a few personalised pieces in these doctor’s offices, these spaces instantly feel more welcoming. Not only does this inclusion make the room more inviting, but these things can also serve as conversation points to ease the patient’s nerves.

At Priority Health Clinic a few homely touches such as a simple round rug and a piece of modern art on the wall was all that was needed to elevate the space into something more.

Mind on Health

Gold Coast-based Psychologists and Psychiatrists at Mind on Health have made a bold move with their branding by incorporating three key brand colours into both the text and logo itself. In this case, the combination of blue, green and grey has worked perfectly to create a look that’s visually appealing and eye-catching.

Once you walk inside the clinic, any patient will instantly recognise how vastly different this space is compared to other waiting rooms they had been in before.

Mind on Health wanted to come across as a modern, forward thinking clinic and they have succeeded in bucking the clinical white walls trend and opting for high-end charcoal to front their reception area. The modern look is further accentuated with the sleek reception desk and trendy pendant lights.

Priority Health also opted for a long a comfortable two-sided couch for waiting patients to sit on rather than the stiff and ridged chairs commonly used in waiting rooms.
