JACOB MEIKLEJOHN

I am one of the youngest members of the Future Fitouts team, assisting with estimating and project delivery as a cadet. I have previously worked in a cadet role at another fit out company, but I also draw experience and knowledge from my time at Bunnings and my studies in Construction Management and Property Economics at QUT. When I’ve finished my degree in two years, I look forward to establishing my career in construction and fit-out and spending more time training in martial arts.

Why I love being part of the Future Fitouts Team

I love the support I get from everybody. Future Fitouts provides the best environment anyone could ask for. Coming to work every day always presents a new challenge but the FF team always gets around each other to get the task done.

I’m proud of achieving

I’m really proud to have achieved my brown belt in Zen Do Kai karate.

Three things I’m grateful for

• I am grateful for my awesome mum.
• I am grateful to be able to work in the field I am studying and learn so much at the same time.  
• I am grateful to be healthy and happy.

Personal interests outside of Future Fitouts

I train in two different martial arts, Karate and Krav Maga which I love doing in my spare time. I study at QUT in Construction and Property, and love getting away to go to the beach, camping, hiking and to theme parks.
