With over 30 years of Administration experience, Melissa has gone from Receptionist to Junior Legal Secretary to Executive EA then to Practice Manager – all within the Legal and Accounting industries. She even spent a few years in HR with David Jones. Now she tries her hand at something well outside her comfort zone – Office Manager at Future Fitouts.
Melissa still welcomes a challenge; to learn new skills and gain a wealth of knowledge in a completely different industry. Melissa moved out her comfort zone when she moved to Brisbane in 2021 and believes that making such a life change necessitates discovering a different Administration path. In joining Future Fitouts, she now looks forward to mastering the new skills and absorbing the new information she is faced with every day, whilst growing in her role with the Future Fitouts team. From a work perspective, this is most likely Melissa’s biggest challenge yet. Her motto – an active mind keeps you young (even if you don’t feel it from time to time!)
Why I love being part of the Future Fitouts Team
Even though fast paced and busy every day, it’s a positive, welcoming, supportive environment in which to work. Each day is different bringing new challenges and new things to learn.
I’m proud of achieving
Picking up my animals and my life and moving interstate on my own but most importantly, raising two amazing kids to adulthood whilst working full time. Only when you set your mind to it, do you find out what you truly can achieve.

Personal interests outside of Future Fitouts
Fitness – gym & walking; gardening; the beach; music; discovering great places to eat with great ambience or views; finding good cafes with GREAT coffee; making the most of being outdoors.
