Project Overview
Future Fitouts were engaged under a Construct Only contract for the Moreton Bay Regional Council on behalf of the Redcliffe PCYC to demolish part of an existing building and construct a larger new building in place. The works involved structural demolition works, civil works, piers and footings, concrete slabs, engagement of the council nominated consultants where required, structural framing, framing and trusses, roofing, cladding, internal fitout and service installation works and upgrades.
Key Learnings and Methodology
Undertaking the works within a live environment where half of the building was still in operation meant that works had to be coordinated and managed with high accuracy of program and methodology. Service shut downs and upgrades were timed to suit the centre’s needs.
